Tethering iPhone 3G 3.0 firmware ATT

Hey all,
Just downloaded the 3.0 firmware for my iPhone 3G!
Sadly ATT is not allowing tethering on their iPhone…I heard that there might be a way around this…I have already installed iTunes 8.2 and the 3.0 firmware. If not I might have to wait until it can be jailbroke. Let me know friends…thanks…

there allowing it in the uk on mine which is 02 but you have to pay extra for it 14.99 pounds which kinda sucks

There is a way to get the tethering option through settings, however without a plan you will pay massive charges.
