Yes aslong as you use the settings above (ISO Standard MP4) .
Don’t try any of the other methods posted here as they will all loose quality and require unnecessary transcoding

convertxtodvd would reduce the resolution and bit-rate of your file aswell as taking hours .
MKV2Vob keeps the resolution,Bit-rate, file-size and takes seconds.
Don’t use Convertx2DVD its not needed

Thats because your DVD Player isnt capable of playing H.264 or HD resolution content in the first place unlike the 360.
As for your computer thats a mystery 7 plays em OOTB

Answer #14
No DVD players only play 480P and MPEG2, The PS3/360 can play MP4/AVC at 1080P thats why this methoid works for them and not DVD players
Answer #15
An mkv file is basically a container with a variety of possible combinations of audios and video inside. A tool like MKV Toolnix will allow you to look inside and along with the MKV ExtractGUI unzipped into the toolnix folder you can also run it and extract the parts you want. MKV toolnix has an exe called mmg.exe that is meant for making MKV files but when already made files are opened with it its usefull for identifyng languages of the different audio files.
If your lucky and inside is a regular xvid or divx video in a regular resolution, and and a regular audio like mp3 or ac3, you can extract them and parse them together with virtual dub in direct stream mode and no re-encoding takes place.

Check this out. It works on my PS3. I am not sure if XBOX360 supports AVCHD.

That’s ~lol~ because I tried with the same settings as you and the file size always come out around 600mb bigger!
Answer #19
As this is a PS3 converter id say try a straight muxer like YAMB then you probably told it to use lossless audio.

Thats odd, Like i said in that case use a muxer like YAMB that dosnt offer transcoding (Therefore just the streams will be copied = same file size) or open up the file in media info and compare the streams to see what was transcoded unnecessarily.
