Are there DVD players for my TV that play MKVs?

I was just wondering… we are very due for getting our selves a new DVD player for our TV and I wanted to ask you guys if there are players out there that play MKV files, and if there are… are there any that can manage 720p MKVs?

I don’t believe that there are any standalone DVD players that play/support mkv files. DVD players push out 480i quality.

Just buy a cheap computer and hook it to your TV and play the .mkv files from there? That’s what we do.

Very true – for maximum compatibility a HTPC is best.
