Western Digital TV Live Plus

For this WDTV,
Is there a way to view foreign tv channels (Indian to be exact)(meaning a video channel hosted somewhere on the internet) through some app in there? Could this be done use a custom firmware for the device?

The WDTV doesn’t allow you to view streaming TV of any kind…? You can stream videos/music from your home network, or watch Netflix.

ah bummer…do you by any chance know of similar devices that support live tv channel viewing from the internet, etc…?

to my knowledge…no…but they do have FTA dishes you can put on side of your house but the channels those things pick up…i dont think you would be interested…you wont get what I think your looking for

to my knowledge...no...but they do have FTA dishes you can put on side of your house but the channels those things pick up...i dont think you would be interested...you wont get what I think your looking for

Think i will just have to stick to local media server for now than.

NOT TRUE! You can watch streaming videos, I cant remember the name of the software, but as long as you can watch it on your computer, you can watch it on your WDTV
