UEFI based computers will not boot when on a USB drive.
To work around this issue, you’ll need to copy the data off the flash drive, reformat the flash drive using the older FAT32 file system, and then copy the data back onto it. then your computer should recognize the usb drive. if this doesnt resolve you issue…
i would advise using:
Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool, it works with all versions of windows.

ok, so re-read you first question, hope im not confusing the issue
have you changed the order of your boot sequence?
or are you saying you do not see an option in the boot menu to change boot order for usb?
if that is your issue then you may have to change boot order in your bios, rather than boot menu.
if you figure this out on you own let me know what the issue was and how you resolved.
Answer #5
On some of these you insert the usb drive into the port then start the computer and open the bios setup, the usb drive will show as a hard drive. Select it as first boot device, save the settings and reboot..

I take it that you have got the USB drive inserted?….Try another slot.
Some old bioses won’t do USB, so you may have to install XP from a CD..

Your computer may not support USB boot and if the BIOS update doesn’t address this issue it still will not…
Look up the updates for your machine and maybe they will list the fixes and enhancements included…
