Send files from wired desktop(vista) to wireless laptop(XP)?

I have enabled a public folder on both computers with read/write access, and both comps connect to the web from the same modem.
Im just wondering how to find the wireless laptop from the wired desktop so I can send files between them.
Any help is much appreciated
