iIdiot – Changed filetype and can’t change it back

August 8th, 2016

So I downloaded 5 files,
blabla.biz.iso.001
blabla.biz.iso.002
blabla.biz.iso.003
blabla.biz.iso.004
blabla.biz.iso.005
Seeing the name iso sticking out, I deleted the 001 (etc.)
blabla1.biz.iso
blabla2.biz.iso
blabla3.biz.iso
blabla4.biz.iso
blabla5.biz.iso
and so I changed the filetype.. Of course later I became aware of the fact that I had to use HJsplit to join the files, but well I was wondering if I could change back the files to .001, .002, etc. or do I have to redownload them?
Just renaming doesn’t work.
Btw I use Vista, if that has any relevance.
Thanks from the idiot… ME

Try in windows explorer:
Organise > Folder and Search Options > Views >
Then untick “Hide extensions for known file types”
