I have a samsung d7000 and I’m running Win7 Ultimate with Windows 7 codec installed… if I want to play a 3d movie using my computer I just play it using Windows Media Player and double click it for full screen which shows both the right and left side pictures.
I then hit the 3d button on the TV and select the side by side option and it works flawlessly… the TV should be doing the processing no matter what source you use however you must make sure your hdmi cable is up for the job too as I’ve heard but cannot verify whether the cable I got with my graphics card is truly a v1.4 hdmi mini to full size cable.
Hope this guides you somewhat.. oh and I have my screen res set at 1920 x 1080.

save this for other people, the reason why it was not working was because of the laptop res,you have to set the tv as the moniter and it gives you a the correct resolution when this is achived the 3d works fine, would you belive it
