How do I play downloaded DS games?

Tried an emulator, but all the graphical glitches are annoying and it’s just not as much fun to play with a mouse instead of a stylus.
I did a quick search, but the most recent topic seems to be from three years ago. Can anyone give me a quick run-through on how to play these games on an actual DS (I’m assuming I’ll have to buy some physical card or something)? Thanks!

i bought an iEdge card for my sister about a year ago, and it has been fine
you can check resellers here:

you also need a micro sd card to put in the iedge card.
then download software from here:
http://www.edge-ds.cn/download.html
and follow instructions, then you can download games from here and then copy them to the root of the sd card
OR you can use the NO$GBA emulator (google it), i played the whole of pokemon white on it
