August 5th, 2016

greetings
I want to install version of vista on a machine running genuine xp. Without removing xp, I want to see if I like vista before I ditch xp
Thank you

I followed that guide and have been dualbooting for a few months now with no problems. Just remember to get drivers!

vista sucks no point in using that. If i where you just go to windows 7, you can go to the M$ website and get a iso file and key for free right now. It a RC version but works just fine and will last till may 2010, so you get a year of win 7 for free. Why not? it my primary OS on my laptop and i would make it primary on my desktop but to much data to backup. Plus you can use the same guide for duel booting as Win 7 is just vista done the right way.
