Answer #4
Virtual DJ. And FL Studio.
Answer #5
I use Traktor Pro 2.0.3. I tried most all of the other DJ apps out there and Traktor is the best. Don’t get any release after 2.0.3, they haven’t been properly cracked yet.
If you want to create electronic music, get FL.Studio 10.0.2.
Answer #6
One more vote for Virtual DJ.
If you want something more advanced FrootyLoops Studio
Answer #7
Ableton is probably the best piece of software you can get, if your hooking up tables to your computer also get serato. If you go with FL Studio make sure you get the production XXL version, has way more VST (Virtual Instruments) but be prepared to spend hours learning the programs in and out, you can get some really good sounds with VDJ aswell, just a lot of people who have it think they are really good DJs and there is a lot of haters out there who hate the computer DJs, although if the musics good, then it doesnt matter
Answer #8
best software for djing is Traktor scratch pro
best software for production Ablton /cubase /reason all these you can rewire in to each other but with ablton u can remix / dj on the fly
then wonce you have made your tune master it with an app called audacity

using a silicon key pad as a drum pad in ableton live with a simple max patch to convert keystrokes to midi. pretty comfortable to play and very functional for five bucks!
If you want to give it a go I’ve uploaded the patch and linked to the other software you might need to get it running here: http://zealousy.com/2010/04/cheap-beatz/
