Acronis True Image,

June 7th, 2017

I have download 2 different files of Acronis True Image 13,thinging that I could installed it on to my windows 8 laptop, but all I can do with this file is to burn them onto a DVD disk as a bootable disk.
What Acronis backup software do I need to download so I can set it up on my hard disk thank you

Answer #1
Practically none of Acronis’s products run on server 2012 or 8 they’re painfully slow to support new operating systems.
Paragon Hard Disk Manager 12 Server works its not client/server but does the basic disk imaging you need.
Answer #2
if you have a bootable disk, that could be all you need. nothing to install. Bootable disk will make the image, test the image, and recover the image. The bootable disk has the FULL version of acronis true image on it.
i am confused by what you are actually asking
Answer #3
Yeah but the bootloader has changed so he could end up with a useless backup. Using backup software on an os they don’t support is a very bad idea.
Answer #4
True Image 2013 works just fine with Win 8.

That’s because you downloaded the standalone boot cd and NOT the app itself!
Pay more attention next time.

Don’t get too excited about the Windows 8 claim – Acronis claimed that on the start and then discovered from user feedback that they had an issue.
I saw a news release from the company saying the win8 problem had been resolved – so make sure that the download you have is the newest release.
