X-Box 360 on PC monitor with a HDMI cable, non HD monitor

January 24th, 2020

hey fam!
Got a 360 I want to hook up to the PC!! Its monitor to be specific.
I have a HDMI cable, that is running from the XBOX to the PC tower HDMI Port.
THE Monitor ISN’T HD, just LCD.
I have clicked the source button and it is only receiving an analogue signal.
Am I trying to squeeze blood out of a stone?
thanks guys x Wink Worshippy

Does the monitor have a DVI connection?
If not, you can’t do it as you have to use a DVI to HDMI cable or a similar adapter.

Umm if I’m not mistaken, LCD and HD have nothing to do with each other. HD is a resolution, LCD is a type of monitor. It’d be like saying, my automobile can’t go 120mph, its a car.
Answer #3
HD is a high density digital signal that travels through the air. If your monitor does not have the ability to receive such signals there is nothing you can do but get some new hardware. (at least I don’t think so) ……….. same applies to TV’s
