Windows XP USB boot.

I got a question.To which file system the USB has to be formatted to boot successfully.i formatted it to FAT32 but it does not boot.

You can’t just copy your XP CD onto the flash drive and expect it to boot! Follow this guide:

I used Novicorp WinToFlash.

BTW do i have to use original Win XP ISO.I downloaded XP from this thread:

any XP ISO will do as long as the ISO works

Installed it in VirtualBox and it works fine.

Just mount the image with daemon tools or burn or with imgburn,Pick
the correct drive letters of the OS source & Flash drive on Wintoflash.

I tried everything.the problem is that when i select USB as the first boot device,it hangs on the boot screen.

Could you be a bit more specific about the first boot device? USB doesn’t say much.. Is it USB HDD that you picked
or something else?
