Win 7 deletes keygen

September 7th, 2013

Hi guys. I downloaded some software on another pc and extracted it to my thumbdrive. Now, when I try to transfer the contents from that thumbdrive over to my Win 7 64bit laptop, it tells me the keygen file is missing when I know for a fact the keygen file was extracted into the thumbdrive. Is this a new Win 7 thing? Auto deletion of keygens?
I was wondering if anyone else has this problem when transferring files from thumbdrive to their Win 7 laptop?

Probably the antivirus program on your laptop is detecting the keygen as a virus and deleting it..
You often get false positives with keygens, so if you think it’s OK, then turn off your antivirus for a while or add the keygen to it’s ignore list.
