unable to reset router

February 4th, 2020

I got a D-link 624+ router. I tried only on to the reset button for 20 seconds and I let go. The lights blinked and went back to normal. But when i try to access the router, it tells me that my password is wrong pls help
Answer #1
Resetting the router should cause a reboot and re-sync. If not try powering off but you might not be resetting it correctly. Check the manual, download it if necessary.
Answer #2
Try turning it off via wall socket.
Answer #3
as i understand you reset the router and password changed. you might wanna give us some more info. i don’t really understand you. you say you reset it but you don’t know the password. so is your problem that you cant reset it or you don’t know the password after reset or both? i guess that you’ll have to call your isp for password. the default password on most routers is administrator/administrator. try that if it doesn’t work call isp.
Answer #4
, what are you trying to do ? Are you restarting the router or resetting the settings? Anyway, try admin for the username and leave the password empty.
Answer #5
I forgot my router password and i nd to reset it. But when i hold the reset button for like 20 secs it doesnt reset because as far as i know the default password is blank. and it doesnt work.
Answer #6
Default username is admin and password is blank, if you haven’t tried that combination.
Answer #7

Answer #8
Some makes of router use a default of Admin or Administrator and the password is the same as the username.
Answer #9
Found this on another forum
D-Link support asked me to hold it down for 10 seconds, remove
power (while still holding reset button) and then plug back in..
