Swap Magic makes your PS2 region free, yes…however if your TV does not support the other region, then it will be black and white and likely jumpy as the framerate is different between NTSC and PAL.

aslo depending on your console (if it is fat or slim) you need a slide tool (fat) or a flip top (slim) hope this helps some
