[SOLVED]What is hyperspin?

April 1st, 2023

Hi all. I know Google is my friend… but unfortunately all the info I have found has not really told me anything.
I want to know if it is a program I can download to play my roms? Do I need to buy an arcade cabinet? Do I need a special hardware or parts to get this? All I have found is a site where they sell it in a 32gb flash drive. That is to small for any roms.
So, if someone can please explain, that would be awesome. I just want to know if with my computer I can play all these things by just buying the flash drive.

You can set it up on your PC, the flash drive will only contain setup files (Hyperspin, Hyperlauncher and various tools which you can get free from the Hyperspin website) as you need to install each emulator and roms within hyperspin files (so it won’t be a plug and play quick fix. It does take quite a bit of setting up and tinkering to get it working smoothly, its more the sort of thing you would set up on a media server rather than your main PC (as if you need to reinstall or upgrade OS it is a lot of work setting it up again) and it does fall over quite easily, mine stopped working after Windows 8.1 update so ditched it in favour of creating my own menu which doesn’t bypass the emulator UI’s, which is the main thing Hyperspin does, it does look good but takes a lot of setting up.
