[Solved] Flash CS4 Help

August 7th, 2016

okay, i hope i can get the message across
i’ve been trying to make an animated button in flash cs4. now, everything is done. my button is made, and i’ve linked it to the webpage. i tested the buttons, the mouse over, mouse click, mouse out, everything works. it even opens the link on clicking it. i even added the stop(); action command in it so that it doesn’t repeat. and in the control-test movie thing, it works perfectly.
now the problem is that when i export this button to an swf file using file->export->export movie, and when i run the exported swf file, i get a file that is continuously looping looping through the mouse in, mouse out animation. its just weird.
if you guys would like me to provide the .fla file and the .swf file, i can upload it for you.
i would highly appreciate if someone told me what the heck is going on. because i am lost. i do not want the output swf file to loop on its own. but it works perfectly when i try to run it from control->test movie, and does not even loop!
and please be easy on me. i just started learning flash today.

Answer #1
Mate try these
Step 1
Go to "File" and select "Publish Settings." Click on the "HTML" settings in the "Publish Settings" window.
#
Step 2
Click in the box next to "Loop" to remove the checkmark. Click the "OK" button to make the setting take effect.
#
Step 3
Publish the Flash movie by going to the "File" menu and selecting the "Publish" option. A version of the Flash movie without the looping function is saved to the hard drive. This version can be uploaded to a website and the Flash animation will play only once and then stop automatically.
