August 5th, 2016

Hi everybody
I’m connecting to wireless network from the “air” (Security is disable)
I’ve got login and password to router of this network and now I want to ask
you…is it possible that I can manage and disconnect others from this network only thanks to access to router?
Tnx for helping
I can add that I’m using Vista ~love~…

Answer #1
Login to the router and set a wpa or wpa2 encription pasword…nobody will be able to use it without the password…
Answer #2

Is it possible?

Not having a secure connection is not a good idea…Anybody can use your connection…even your next door neighbour…

To access the router..you need to login to it trough your browser…If you don’t know the username and password then you can’t…

Read carefully and think before you write something…
Answer #7
Well if you’re having the access to the admin panel, obviously: YES.
However if by login/pw you mean the network login/pw (SessionID and auth password) you can’t do anything but use the connection as a free user, not an admin.

Hmmm… I’m accessing NETGEAR WGR614v5 Router. It’s very famous mark of routers so propably you may know what I mean.
I can only access this router coz as I said, it isn’t mine network.
Can I admin it only by accessing to this router?
Answer #10
Define access please do you mean access the web via that router or access the set up page on the router if you can access the setup page on it then yes you can admin it if that is the password you have
Answer #11
I’m accessing this router via web browser (192.168.1.1) How to access the setup page?

only with the administratiors name and password and I assume that as you have not managed to do that the name and pass you have is not the admin one
Answer #13
Let me get this straight, the router belongs to you but the network doesn’t? Some routers have Mac address filtering but that can be spoofed by anyone with a bit of computer knowledge. That is the only method I can think of if you are averse to using wep or wpa.
