If you are downloading from Rapidshare that is ………….. otherwise the program works fine with other downloads.

IDM id recommend from great personal experience.
The integration it does with your browser can get a bit annoying when it takes over links to download, but you can manage that easily in options.
I also have it set up so that it integrates only with FF, so if one server doesnt like it (like uploaded.to) i just switch to i.e.
Also, works great with rapidshare
Untested link, but alot of people sayin thanks so im guessin its good:

IDM is better than Flashget by far. IDM is also approved for Rapidshare premium downloads. But if you’re not going to use RS than I would suggest checking out Net Transport (Search this forum for “NetTransport and “Net Transport”, the space matters).
Net Transport works better than Flashget, its actually a clone of it. But it downloads things faster because it ignores bandwidth limitations (Which is why you shouldn’t use it with RS because you can get 25GB’s of recorded download when you have only really downloaded 5 KB’s!)
So, IDM for RS. Net Transport for non-RS.
I suggest also looking into FlashGot plugin for Firefox, it will integrate your download manager into FF without any hassles.

You can’t do that. You need to use your login details to download RS links with a download manager and you can’t use one without a premium account Good luck mate ^_^
