Funny you say that as I’ve just had the exact same problem last night. If you don’t have anything you want to keep on your hard drive then reinstall windows and reformat your hard drive. Worked for me.

Jeez – I haven’t seen that error in years – what OS are you running? That usually happens with bad or badly installed memory. First simply restart your computer and check your virtual memory settings. make sure its set to half of your physical memory.
If that doesn’t solve your problem (who knows what it will take to replicate the crash, so just use the computer normally and see if it crashes again).
If it crashes again:
Check you memory and make sure it’s:
1) Seated right
2) The right memory and the right mix, if any (check your computer’s guide to see what type of memory your supposed to have and what type of configuration it supports).
3) Working properly – does your bios have a memory test? If not you might find one here, there’s one called… memtest. If you can’t do that, perhaps you have more memory around to swap in – or pull out half of the memory you have (consult your manual if you don’t know which ones to pull out) and see if the error returns.
If that doesn’t help let us know what you were doing at the time of the crash and give us your PC’s configuration, so we can further determine what might be the issue.
Answer #4
i use win 7 32b , how to check virtual memory settings?
Answer #5
Start Menu -> Computer -> Right Click, Properties ->Advanced System Settings -> Performance -> Look at value of virtual memory. If it is too low then click “Change” button. If it says you are using system managed size and it is too low, then click custom and give it half of your installed memory size. If you have more than one disk, and there is no system on the second disk, put your virtual memory on that disk. Click set and close those windows. Restart and check to see if you encounter that crash again.
