Live streaming PC to remote PC

August 9th, 2016

I go to a website where Im a member to watch live boxing that is streamed into my web browser , I would like my friend to be able to connect to me over the internet and watch the stream via me live .
What software will do this ?

If you REALLY trust the person you could try remote assistance built in to windows. Never tried it but in theory it should work. And your internet speeds might cause a problem if they are too slow. I’m crazy enough to give it a try.

As mentioned its down to trust, something like Teamviewer would allow them to view your desktop (but that’s where the trust comes in as they can control your PC, plus there is also the serious element of security. Or try Vipbox and see if they are streaming it.

If you want something faster than teamviewer, you can try AnyDesk. A breakout group from TeamViewer developed it.
If you don’t mind setup, brynhildr is even faster (don’t mind the chinese, the program is in english)

Now that looks interesting!
It seems to be specifically IP based – not a server allocated “name” thing (I know you can tell teamviewer and anydesk to do that BUT they still talk to their servers!)
I just downloaded it and had a play.
Mini review – Yes, bloody fast (loop back test to 1.7, my laptop to itself). Not tested as full remote desktop yet, too lazy to fire up the i7 media player.
It has both server mode and client mode in the one program (neat), and has decent controls over incoming picture, etc.
I was stuck on a small window – that might be an issue with loop back though.
The only thing that makes me wonder is he seems to have mutliple remote desktop programs there – this one + ZeroRemote + TrueRemote, and I’m wondering why?
Total Uninstall monitoring it said it added nothing to the registry – except for two lines referring to the audio codec used.
Kaspersky says it’s safe (and Kaspersky hates AMMYY remote desktop!)
I noticed a setting in the server menu – “bootup”.. I presume that means to install it as a service for startup server use, auto running?
Thanks, Rick, mate – I haven’t heard of this before, and it’s damn good!
