How to put movies onto a dvd?

Hi, i want to put 500 days of summer onto a dvd, it’s a dvd rip, and it’s 299mb. Isit possible to get this onto a dvd or would i need a different version? Also do i need a DVD-R or CD-R?
Thanks, i’d want to be able to play these on my dvd player.

You need DVD-R’s or DVD-RW’s. Use ConvertXtoDVD to burn it:

First get your DVD players manual and check what codecs it supports, If youe got native codec support for the file it can be burned to a regular data DVD or CD otherwise youll have to transcode aswell which will take some time and probability change the resolution.
Convertxtodvd works for transcoding.

Well my girlfriend asked me to put it on for her, i don’t really know what codec her dvd player supports.

Yeah, ConvertXtoDVD can convert basically every video format including .mkv and convert it so you can view it on your DVD player.

you can also try tmpgenc

but i think ConvertXtoDVD is better
try them both
tmpgenc is easier to handle, but ConvertXtoDVD is lighter and faster
you may combine them, but 300mb movie won’t get you high quality, but probably satisfying
