How can I put my iPod touch apps in folders?

January 23rd, 2020

I was wondering how can I put my iPod touch apps in different folders instead of going page by page looking for the apps? I would like a folder for sports apps, music apps, games and so on. So how do I do this thanks? Its a iPod touch 8GB

If you’re on 4.x, all you have to do is drag one icon on top of another. If not, just download ‘Folders’ from Cydia.

How do I get on 4.x on the ipod touch then?
Answer #3
Download and install it…?
There is no 4.x for ipt1g though.

Help > Check for updates
When you plug your iPod in it should prompt you to download and install the newest firmware available.

WTF are you talking about dude? Your iPod needs to be running 4.0 or newer and you can natively have folders.

You can’t run iOS 4 because there is no iOS 4 for iPt 1G!
Go to settings –> General –> About and there you will see FW version!
If your iPt is JB then just go in cydia and download folders!

Dude, basically if you have an Old model of the iPod touch, such as the second generation and down, you cannot get folders, unless you jailbreak the touch. It is as simple as that. I good way to check if you can get the 4.0 software, is if the ipod itself has volume controls on the side. If it does, it can have 4.0 if it doesnt have volume controls, you cant get the 4.0 and thus cant get the folders.
If you jailbreak it, you can get folders
