Go back to windows 7 (UEFI). Is my pc compatible ?

August 7th, 2016

Hi everyone,
I have W8 on my pc but i want to go back to W7(i buy the pc with W8 and never have W7 on it) but i don’t know how to verify if my pc is compatible.
Here is the support link for my pc :

Also if someone have an iso of windows 7 for UEFI motherboard with the updates(newest possible) and activated then… Would be nice to share because it is my first problem (I want a UEFI version because it’s better).
Please remember to double check that all your links have been coded. #3.10 links must be coded - including, but not limited to, e-mail addresses, passwords and internal links.

The HP site does not list any drivers for Win 7 so it could be a bit dodgy getting them right.
Just a normal Win 7 disk can be installed with UEFI and GPT partitioning….Google how to install with UEFI..
Personally, I would go the other way and upgrade to Win 10…This is fully supported by your PC and Windows.
It’s better than 8 and you can add the Classic Shell to the start menu and imagine you are on 7

my hdd is in GPT already. and i know how to do for the rest (secure boot, boot mode in UEFI). So basicaly i can use any windows 7 iso and still have the advantage of having a uefi bios (like my pc booting faster and that kind of things) ? Why windows 10 ? is it better than windows 8 (i did not really been interested by any os after win 7 so i don’t know what choose) ?

Here’s the requirements and how to install in UEFI from a flash drive in 7,8,8.1 and 10

I avoided W8 like I did Vista…But things have improved with W10, plus you have the ability to do the in place upgrade.
Using it on my old PC and it works quite smoothly and faster, I think, than W7.
Most people would install Home or Pro but
I Didn’t want all the tiles and app crap, so I clean boot installed this one..

You will be able to install Windows 7. If I were you I would try Windows 10. But if Windows 7 is what you really and the only you want, then you can install it also on UEFI mode. The fast boot should be a Windows 8> feature so I’m not sure if Windows 7 will boot as fast as 8…

Don’t care about fast boot. So you say i can install win 7 on it ? From where i download the drivers for my pc ?
