Effective Uninstall of SUPERAntiSpyware

September 26th, 2013

SuperAntiSpyware has always been a real pain to uninstall leaving no traces behind so a ‘clean’ install can be done. It leaves something behind but I cant find it. I used the SASUNINST utility, then ran Uniblue Registry Booster and then manually went through the registry, rebooting after each one. But on the next installation, (using AT4RE keygen for superantispyware pro v4.xx.x) it goes straight back to “evaluation period expired” Grrr. Sometimes that doesnt happen, but I dont remember doing anything differently. Any insight on this would be appreciated
(I posted an earlier question about the input sequence for the keygen but I got it straight now)

Answer #1
Two options:
Your Uninstaller Pro
Revo Uninstaller
Answer #2
try installing the Free version ,which is all u really need … { imho }
Answer #3
Nope! Neither Revo or Your uninstallers worked. After reinstalling SAS, “Evaluation Period Expired”. I used Your in super mode, twice. It found the same 11 registry entries both times. When I search the registry for superantispyware, there are still quite a few entries found.
Answer #4
Malware bytes is better

Dood, just do an uninstall with YourUninstaller, then do some manual cleanup in app folders, and registry search. Also clean up with CCleaner, then restart your computer. That is as good as your going to get.
Also, don’t reinstall that stuff anyway. Browse smart and you don’t even need an av, but if you get a good av, you should not need a malware remover.
But if you want one, use what wazz12 said, its better.

I always use mbam, SAS, and Panda AV for protection. Silent, swift and deadly – always works for me. They each find things the other 2 miss. This is the GF’s machine anyway.
I uninstalled with YourUninstaller, found one app folder, went through the registry, ran CCleaner and rebooted. No joy. Now it’s personal Something is hiding.
EDIT: Success. Using the “I’d p*** on a spark plug if I thought it would work” principle, I went through the whole uninstall sequence from above in safe mode. Then I installed it in safe mode – so far so good.
