DVD Burning Help

August 5th, 2016

So I burn my own DVD’s and I just recently ran out of DVD’s. So my cousin sold me some he had that didn’t work for his computer. I thought they would work for mine but they did not. I always use DVD-R. It did burn but when I played it in my dvd player and PS3 the audio is like your fast forwarding it. Today I bought some different brand DVD’s and same DVD-R and there is no audio at all now. I use ConvertxtoDVD. Any suggestions why this is happening? I been burning DVD’s for about 4 years now and never had this problem. The movie file is fine.
Answer #1
Possibly it has nothing to do with DVDs you’re using.
Maybe cvtX has got it’s settings changed to weirdness somehow.
Try restoring the settings to default.
Answer #2
I was thinking that. I did download the latest version and it worked fine then I used a key and I think thats when it started I am not sure. Im gonna download it again because I just uninstalled it and reset the settings and see what happens. Do you know of any other software I could use?
Answer #3
ConvertXtoDVD is really the best for that.
Answer #4
Most people seem to be agreed the cvtX is the best man for the job, so I’d try to persuade that to behave itself before looking at alternatives.
Answer #5
Ok so I just downloaded cvtX and I am currently burning the same file hoping it works. I didn’t mess with the settings yet.
EDIT: Well I am still having the same problem. I reset the settings and I am converting another movie as I type this. After I am done converting Im going to burn and see if it works. IDK what else to do.
Answer #6
Possibly, and just possibly, it could be due to some corruption in the registry.
You could try uninstalling cvtX with a total uninstaller such as ‘Revo uninstall’ or ‘Your uninstaller’, then install again.
As a test (I know it’s a waste of a disk), you could try burning from a source file which you know for certain has burned OK in the past.
It does happen sometimes that a playable AVI does not convert properly because it has internal format errors.
You could also try to narrow down what the problem is if you can get temporary access to another PC.
See what happens when you install cvtX (the exact same copy) on that and try to burn the offending video. Failing getting any joy out of that I have to admit to being stumped here.
Other DVD conversion and burning software does exist, (not hard to find with Google), but none I am aware of has the ease of use and numerous features which cvtX has.
It may be you’ll have to re-install the OS to get things working properly.
I guess it always worth a try scanning your PC with malwarebytes, but I haven’t heard of any virus which has this effect.

Well I have Your Uninstaller and I already uninstalled it and installed it again and had the same problem. Since then I have reset the settings and converting and about to burn a different movie file and hope it works.
