CPU usage shoots to 100%

hey guys, i just installed windows 7 ultimate with nod32 as AV and also use spybot. Recently i’m facing a prob that when i use multiple programs or even just browsing the internet, the explorer gets hanged and cpu usage is indicated as 100%. i also updated video drivers, i use ati 5670.
i hve updated windows and also run AV scan many times, but of no help.
Can someone help me with this……

Are you sure, your all processor are unlocked. I have heard AMD processors having this issue. Check other system software, from your processor manufacturer to check other parameters.

Also load up the task manager might help you find out what is giving you this 100% usage.

i run a amd athlon x4 635…..i chckd in the task mngr itself…it is stuck at 100% when the problem occurs…..is thr any other tool to check the correct usage….

AMD overdrive is an good application by its company. May be it may give you idea. I am not sure, but your processor could be faulty, burned.
You can even check another program. “Speccy”, I ain’t sure, see if it works out.

i formatted the system and it seems it has helped a bit….running only firefox and it stays at 2 or 3%…

Unwanted background programs may have been casing the problem
