Converting a Steam game to Non-Steam

August 5th, 2013

Hi Folks,
In 2010 I purchased a number of retail PC games that are Steam games. I travelled for a bit but now have forgotten my steam account and have little interest in dealing with Steam people to recover the games (I cant even remember the email address).
Is there any way I can patch these Steam games to install as Non-Steam so I can crack them?

Answer #1
Tbh, I would just find whatever games you want here on WBB, install those and apply the cracks provided – that is, if you don’t want to deal with the steam people (which is understood! lol).
Answer #2
Wouldnt just applying crack work? I would try it, if it does not work you have to delete anyway.
Answer #3
No I don’t think you can Crack a Steam game, just like that… atleast not while it is still connected to Steam.
Answer #4
Well, thats not cracker friendly then. So downloading the game is best solution. All cracked is best, i bought a game and i always have to go online. I heard you dont have to, but offline mode is not working for me. In my eyes they force people to download cracked games.

When downloading a game illegal is actually easier than using it legally, you have to wonder what those companies are thinking :/
Answer #6
Indeed, if I install the game I am required to install it through steam. Its unfortunate that I have purchased physical copies of these games but through I guess poor management of my accounts all this money is wasted.
I guess I will have to acquire them through a friend on WBB, I mean.. I have paid for the games so its not all bad.
