Convert USD to Europe and other currency

January 27th, 2020

whats the best way to convert USD to Euro and other currencies. Every time I go over I get screwed pretty good they have whole exchange shops who basically buy low and then sell to banks and make money. ~ censored ~ rip offs. the market fluctuates especially during vacation time banks over there buy for low then fall markets go back to normal. How can I convert in US non internet in person

Personally, I use this website when I need to do such conversions:
http://www.xe.com/ucc/
But if you wanna do it manually, You would have to get the current exchange rate and do
the maths yourself:

Do note that these are updated several times a day!

I also use
http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/
However, If I want to get Euros etc, I can get them dirt cheap from my local Post Office here in the UK, if I don’t spend them all, they will buy them back at no extra cost if you show the original receipt. My bank does free cash conversions for me, but they charge to buy them back. Always best to just get slightly more than you need. You don’t want to be left with a load of them, they are depreciating in value quite fast.
I generally only need Euros for when I go to Belgium to stock up on ciggies and booze
(They all take credit cards btw – shops that is)
It sounds like you get a raw deal over there.

I think they are wanting to know how to get best deal on them, not how to actually convert them.
Answer #4
I know this says OZ forex.. but if you have the same company working where you are (e.g. it exists in the UK too), then I heartily recommend them.

Using a Visa or Mastercard when possible should be good.
Works fair and square with mail order anyhow.
