Backup Image Problem ! (sparsebundle read/write image)

Im pretty terrified / loosing my mind at this point… everything seems to be going wrong all at once !
Basically backed up my mac user files in a sparsebundle read/write image with SuperDuper application Thought it was fine, wiped my system as i needed to due to tripple boot my system for uni
Come back to put some of my user files back on my Mac area, mounted the image any larger files don’t want to be read (look at screenshot for example)

I’m really stressing out so help would be greatly appreciated can’t find help anywhere ! All in all there over 400gb of data when mounted so theres alot of stuff in there Many Thanks !

Im really sorry to double post but im in dia straights here, does anyone have any experience with sparebundle backups… time machine uses them, SuperDuper etc

If it fails,Ask on apple’s forum. Off-topic – IMO this is one of the many reasons why one should not
be using a Mac,It’s hard to get support when you need it because Mac
users are a minority. If things were different and you’d be asking
bout a windows problem rest assured you would’ve had it fixed by now.

Unfortunately that’s not my problem… but thanks for trying mate, Im an absolute mess atm at my wits end. Tempted to go to closest apple store about an hour away from me, they might be able to help kinda just clutching at straws here

How is it not your problem? Please enlighten me.
From what i understand your problem is that your
unable to open DMG images and that you get
a “not recognized” error,Provided that is the case
the solution on the topic i refered you to just might work.

Basically if you look at the screenshot the sparsebundle image will mount …. but any larger files within that image i.e. other image files, larger movies, documents, etc are unrecognisable Now from what ive seen an research within the last 24 hours of going manic the sparsebundle format basically puts things together in “bands” each being something like “8mb” or so
thats as much info as i posses at this stage … clueless thanks again mate

thanks for trying unfortunately not…. Someone’s gotta to of experienced this problem, i just cant fathom it ! Just so frustrating … feel like killing myself, i’m proper ~ censored ~, think i’m going to try going over to sheffield to apple store think thats closest one to me

this is a problem with a 3rd party app that isn’t made by them so.. You’d be best asking the maker,Email support@shirt-pocket.com
