Any1 know how to rip soft subs

so i’m looking for a something that can rip out the subs and lets me put the subs back in again, on a different file without making it hard, plz help

Which file type? Is it MKV?

Whatever the container is, MKV, MP4 or whatnot, just demux. You will end up with the video, audio, and subtitles files. To put the subtitles back in after you do whatever it is your going to do with it, just remux using the new subtitles file.
To demux/remux MKV containers, use MKVtoolnix. For any other container, use tsMuxer.

thx, i can use mkv or mp4 but it seems mkv is prefered so i’ll use MKVtoolnix
edit: ok, so i’ve downnloaded, now what do i actually click to demux everything, i have no idea how to work this thing

Sorry, I forgot to mention that you need an add-on to MKVtoolnix. It’s called MKVExtractGUI and you can get it here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mkvextractgui-2
Install it and launch it. You will see this window:

Select the subtitles stream, or all the rest of the streams if you want to extract them all, and click extract.
That’s it.
