Active 3D Real 3D, Which Films Do I Need To Download?

August 6th, 2016

Hi All,
I’m quite new to 3D however i’ve gone and bought myself a 3D TV… in fact its this one Panasonic VIERA TXP42ST30.
The problem i have is i don’t know which 3D films i need to be looking at on the forum to download.
I see alot of SBS films available but i can’t figure out if these are the ones i need, i also see people talking about the films with green and red… with paper glasses (or equivalent..) but i don’t think i can play these as my glasses are powered and i think they are active shutter glasses. I would just try and get one but they are MASSIVE and i get charged per GB i download and don’t want to waste any money.
I wonder if you could point me in the right direction?
Also, if anyone has this TV or similar then could you please share how you watch your films?
I have a PS3 with hdmi 1.4 cable, i also have USB ports on the back so not sure if the formats the films here will work but i guess i oculd convert the format..
Thanks and i really hope someone replies, it would be MUCH appreciated!
Dave

Hi mate
I have an active shutter 3D set. I download SBS movies from this very site, albeit they are few and far between, but then using settings on my tv I choose Side By Side (SBS) setting and they play perfectly. I have a Samsung set and thankfully it has options for Side By Side, Over and Under and Interpolated, which means i pretty much cover all the possible download options available to us users!
