July 26th, 2016

are there any movies i can get ..and can i burn to dvd to watch with the old 3d green/red lense glasses on a normal tv ?

Hi mate,
I’m afraid that that will not be possible, 3D movies are on a different technology , i.e. side-by-side and the TV itself will display 2 pictures and use the shatter glasses to generate a 3d effect…
as a minimum your TV needs to be able to display 3d movies

ok..thanks..i wondered as i watched one on youtube a few days ago at friends..it was this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq2awQCkyfg so it would not work if that was put on dvd as vob or xvid data disc ?

There’s a few, not many. Use the keyword ‘anaglyph’ and select ‘topic title and message text’ in the search dialog.
You don’t have to burn to DVD. Watching with red/green or red/cyan glasses in any media player works fine.

Wrong, BD-Rebuilder (free) can shrink 3DBD discs and convert from real3D to anaglyph, as well as convert from BD to DVD in both the BD5/9 format as a valid DVD structure (movie-only mode only though)

Yes, like says…
There are actually a few players that will convert to anaglyph….Cyberlink Power DVD, Arcsoft TotalMedia Theatre and my old faithful PotPlayer can be set up for it..
So feel free to try some of the 3D SxS movies that you can download.
When you play them straight, you get 2 pictures side by side..
But then you switch to 3D anaglyph and you get what you need..

Set Output (Screen) to the type of glasses you use….Anaglyph Red/Cyan Colored would be the most common. Untick Auto switch between… and click OK..
It should now play OK in 3D..
If the AR is wrong, you may need to force it.
Right click on screen and select Aspect Ratio
Then use 2.35:1 or whatever makes it appear correctly..

knows the best it seems, this also helps me with my problems. Grabbing BD rebuilder today giving it a try soon.

I use Virtualdub (stereo tools plugin). But other simple
apps like stereo movie maker will do the conversion
from side by side to anaglyph. Consider buying a simple
decoder that accepts usb stick for your old tv.
