Xbox 360 Data Transfer Kit

May 29th, 2017

On Sunday I will be purchasing an Xbox 360 Elite package for 160 brand new, a pretty good deal. It will replace my current Xbox, which is four years old, has no HDMI port, has a fan which fails so much because of the dust it has collected, and sounds like a chainsaw without a disc in.
I understand the concept of the data transfer kit. I looked in to if when the Elite came out, and I remember seeing links on http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/console/datamigration.htm linking to a .pdf to send off, or a number to ring to request one for free. That is no longer available, and I have no idea how to obtain one.
Ebay is always an option, but why pay if they are free? But I don’t know if they are still free, and I don’t where to obtain a legit Microsoft one, since other rip offs have been given bad reviews.
Do you get one with the Elite console?
Thank you for the help, would appreciate it if anyone could point me to where to get one.
Please remember that ALL links must be coded, including, but not limited to, e-mail addresses, passwords, and internal links. Coded for you this time.

You can get one here for a tenner

But there are cheaper ones if you Google!

I’m not sure about this , but I think microsoft stop giving them away for free . So you still have to call over 1800 4 my xbox and tell them about your situation and that you need that cable. I think it cost you about 12$
