Will this PC be any good for some gaming with decent FPS?

November 30th, 2013

So uh.. my graphic card busted and overheated, I had to get a new one, and I think I could go a bit better, I didn’t specify I wan’t a gaming rig, so he put up a random one for me. And I took 2 GB RAM extra.
This will be my PC:
Graphics: HD 6670
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ 2.71 GHz
Ram: 4 GB.
Power Supply: Logic 500UB
What do you think?

Honestly, I wouldn’t waste my time with it. You wont get any decent performance out of it. Specify a budget and location and we’ll help you pick out parts way better than those.
Answer #2
Depends on what you play. A 6670 is like the old 8800.
I recommend a minimum of a 6850 or 460 for today’s games.
Concerning the processor, AMD dual cores are not so good.
But again, it depends on what games you play, and at what resolution.

That’s ~love~.
Well, but to be honest I don’t need much perfomamnce, all I need is good SAMP FPS – I have high fps in GTA:SA , but in samp its while low. I had 30 fps while recording, I hope ill get more now.
Answer #4
@ 720p it should be ok on decent graphic settings.
Answer #5
I will have around 80 pound left, anything useful I could get?
Answer #6
Depends on the games you want to play. I bought a 250 dollar laptop with a C50 processor for a recent work related trip to simply to upload documents (didn’t have time to fix a keyboard issue with my main laptop). Surprisingly, this cheap laptop could play with good frame rate the three games I threw at it: COD4, GTA4, and Fallout3. If you’re playing games 2 or 3 years old and older, those specs you mentioned are fine. Don’t listen to these uber dorks that think you need an 8 core cpu and 500 dollar video card to play Pacman.

Well uh, All i play is gta san andreas online, although I mod it heavily and get extra HD textures and quality out of it – I play online also , and if you played it – you know that if you switch onto samp you drop at least 100 FPS.
