VLC cant read a mkv file

guys i downloaded a mkv film from mediafiremoviez by j downloader.
but after all i got this error messege from VLC player..
No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format “undf”. Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this

can anyone help me plzzz

possibly a bad mkv file…if vlc cant play the file…its usually a bad file…vlc has NO problems playingMKV

Ive had VLC and MPC not end up playing mkv’s or playing them without audio. The only solution ive found is installing the CCCP codec pack and playing the mkv’s through WMP

this is true…but they are some bad mkv’s out there…along with iso/img/avi files also not wanting to play
EDIT…75% of my downloads on this site are bluray mkv’s and all have played on VLC and ive done well over 300…so id say 99% of the mkv on here work…he got it from a diff site so idk

It may be corrupted, but u can try CCCP codec

Install CCCP so you can play .MKV file in VLC Media Player, the problem you are having is that you have missing codecs so it won’t play

Bad File / If you are running under Linux, You will have to install additional packages.

Go to a website called http://www.mpcstar.com/ then click Download now. once you download it. install it. this will update all your codecs in all players you have on your pc/laptop. then play any file in windows media player or mpc star player. every thing should work fine

Did u fix this prob
