SIMS 3 – Reloaded Vs. Razor-1911

November 21st, 2022

OK so a week ago Reloaded released Sims 3 and yesterday Razor-1911 released Sims 3 also.
People on the interwho’s are saying that the Reloaded release was a Beta and the Razor-1911 is the Retail version of the game, Firstly is this 100% true?
also…
How much difference will there be between the Reloaded and the Razor-1911 release of the game?

Reloaded release is not final. If you compare the file located in: x:\Game\Bin\code_version.txt you will get these informations Razor1911: description=Version: 0.DL-0.0.11195 Changelist: 625803 Reloaded: description=Version: 0.DL-0.0.11190 Changelist: 624575 If you compare the versions of TS3.exe you will get these infos: Razor1911: 0.0.0.11195 (April 30. 2009 04:55:28) Reloaded: 0.0.0.11190 (April 23. 2009 07:53:19)

Is the Razor1911 release the retail version?
Answer #3
Razor1911 brings us the REAL Sims 3 game. RELOADED released a beta, and got nuked for that. Heres Razor with the real deal.
thats a quote from a trustable website..
Answer #4
They claim it to be but we’ll never know till the retail release it out next week.
Answer #5
How much difference will there be between the two releases?
Answer #6
I’d be interested to know this too…………..
If i was to hazard a guess i’d say no difference – at least between Razor’s versions and Reloaded’s.
So don’t stress guys. At least not until the official one is released with MORE features but lets hope that doesn’t happen.
one 5Gb woth of a game is enough thanks

no visible changes..
No new towns, clothes, hairstyles, diving boards, pool tables, etc, etc. NOTHING new. Must have been just bug fixes.
i would go for Razor1911
Answer #8
I read somewhere that some items don’t work (hot tubs iirc) and neighbourhood interactions(?) are messed up in the RELOADED version.
Patiently waiting for someone to make a patch between the two (think of the RS points…)
Answer #9
thanks for this thread… i was wondering if there were new objects in the razor release but i couldn’t find that info anywhere else.
i think i’ll just stick with the reloaded release for now, but does anyone now how to copy over saved games (or if they are even compatible) in case there actually is a difference with the retail version?
Answer #10
So do you think its worth me downloading the Razor1911 release of Sims 3 when ive already got the Releoaded release

No because I am going to make a patch between the two using my dedicated server. Expect it up soon 🙂
Downloading 12 parts at once, each at 1mb/s

I’ve been using Sims 3 RELOADED version for a week now and had no problems at all! used every item available, didn’t crash not even once and I’m using cheats for the game. So I guess all the problems people are having are because of the difference between their hardware/softwares
EDIT – Looking forward for your patch
Answer #13
Reloaded version has known gameplay bugs, they just aren’t very obvious. Also you won’t be able to use any official patches with the reloaded version.
Answer #14
The only problems that ive come accross well sort of a glitch rarther than a problem, its when you have a car yet the “car pool” still comes to take you to work… and that the bikes dont work… lol
Answer #15
I have not played the game,so cant tell the technical or games objects difference.
But i read on zerosec that Reloaded’s release is from different region & its not nuked,Razor’s release is of another region.
Those who tried two versions can tell the difference, and I will wait for s patch.
if u have good enough speed, time then u can try the Razor’s release, else if u just wana try play & then keep it as ur collection like me,then i dont think its needed to be downloaded again
Answer #16
The patch will probably be for the ISO, because I’ve done enough extracting already D: Seeing as you’ll lose your savegame anyway, it won’t make much difference if you have to do a reinstall.
EDIT: I actually might have a go at making a proper patch, I have no idea how two installs will go or if it will even install at all on Windows Server 2003 with a 32mb graphics card.

I will? Can’t I back it up and put it back when re-installed?
Answer #18
I’m pretty sure the files are incompatible, based on what I read on rlslog.
Answer #19
Does this game really need Pixel Shader 2.0 or can run if one doesnt have it?Coz atm my gfx card is at the shop for repair
Answer #20
Seeing as I’m in the mood to make something epic, I might even go for a RELOADED to 1.0.632.00002 patch (That’s the version after Razor1911)

I failed.

Well what I’ve HEARD is that you can actually break into houses in the Razor version. This sounds too good to be true but could someone who has both versions or possibly two people who have opposite version of one another, confirm this? I’m guessing you need the kleptomaniac trait to do this.
Another one I heard was more objects. Now I’ve seen screen shots that compare the two in that sense but only seeing one item category compared doesn’t confirm it for me. I wanna know if there’s anything like pool tables, piano’s, electric guitars, or hot tubs in it. I know for a fact that those weren’t in the RELOADED version. Sorry if all of this has been debunked. I may just wait until June 2 after all.
Answer #24
There is no difference (item, city, … ) between razor or reloaded version.
I play with the reloaded and I have no problem at all…
If you need to choose pick reloaded! Or wait the 5th June for the final version

Uninstall the EA download manager. It IS the problem. Read this for more info..

Answer #27

Anyway, do you think the new town usw which is free will come in a release or sth? Normaly you get it with dl manager
Greetz
and thanks for help
edit: ok uninstalled dl manager, copied Crack again, not works
Answer #28
So, the only different between the RELOADED version and RAZOR version is the bugs?
I think that EA said that the game [original-no beta] will have another town. Is that true?
Thanks!
