No internet connection in HP Pavilion dv2000

November 25th, 2019

It runs on Windows Vista 32-bit, and the internet and the home-network don’t work with it.
What problem can it be? Some drivers missing maybe?
Thanks in advance.

Is it wired or wifi, if it’s wifi Have your turned off the wifi as most new laptops fitted with a small switch to turn wifi on and off. If also wifi try it hard wired befor you mess with the drivers.
Or pick your modle off this list for drivers .

I need a cable connection, I don’t have a wifi (and strangely it doesn’t seem that their site’s driver requirements have any un-wifi named).

Ok try turning of the modem and router if you have one and the laptop. Then power up the modem and let it run for 2 min’s befor you start the router or laptop. If you have a router let that power up for 2 mins befor you start the laptop.

I think that it might be some problem with the Vista installed in it.
I hate this operating system anyway so I’m currently trying to install XP instead.
