What are important things to know before moving out? What are some reasonable prices to pay for rent in CALIFORNIA. (USA)
Answer #1
The questions asked here are absolutely astounding to me.
You honestly don’t have any friends or family you could ask about this?
California is a big damn state. Asking a reasonable amount to pay for rent in Cali would be like asking how much a car costs in the US. You can’t honestly expect a specific answer to such a vague question.
What’s your budget? What do you do for a living? How much do you make in a month? Where in Cali are you looking to stay? All of these things (among others) should go into consideration…but the first place I’d start would be with people you actually know.

The most important thing is make sure you have steady work and a nice amount of savings to fall back. Money in the bank is crucial if:
a) You lose your job
b) Those unplanned expenses (every little thing ads up, don’t forget about the things you might not have paid for before: food, electricity, etc)
c) Too much spending, debt, etc
If you have your bases covered, you’ll be fine.
I have no idea about rent in California though, but I imagine it would be rather expensive. I say just share a house or get a girlfriend

Moving out.
1. Come home regularly (with washing) to see mom.
2. Come home regularly (with car and empty gas tank) to see dad
3. Dont have parties you cant afford to pay damages for
4. Never ever ever never tell a girlfriend she can move in.
5. Never ever ever never let a girl stay longer than one night. If you do, you will find things accumulating in your bathroom. e.x Armpit hair, used razors, girly smells, hair conditioner in the shower. Gutter traps that stink because of girls long hair.
6. Never let a mate tell you he is hard up and let him move in for “A couple of days” you may as well advertise for a bum to freeload off you.
If you think at all that any of the things I mentioned above are ment as a joke, think again … wisely.
