iPod movie problem “video cannot be played on this iPod

I’ve downloaded several iPod movies from this site and I’m sure they are properly encoded since nobody posts complaints/concerns. The problem is when I try to upload these videos to my iPod I get the following error: “video was not copied to the iPod because it cannot be played on this iPod.”. Does anyone have any idea why this seems to happen? I have an 80gb iPod video and I’m using the latest version of iTunes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

this may sound stupid,but try uninstalling quicktime and reinstall it. choose the version without itunes when reinstalling
