How To Edit Template Monster & FlashMint Templates ?

I want to learn editing of templates from template monster, flashmint & other templates available on sites.
Please advice how can I do this ?
Any tutorials available & which is the best one available ? I learned JOOMLA thru some tutorials available here.. I guess VTC… similarly I’d like to learn editing of templates (as told above), any good source available ?
